Nothing really, and I don’t mean it in a bad way.
like we have a small population, they have a small population, we both have blood-shed histories, nothing against them, nothing in favour of them.
I think mentality wise we would be very similar with all things considering. maybe them being a bit more Slavic and us being a bit more Levantine.

When I look at the case of Kosovo, I think of Turkey’s contradictory policy, which argues that the Albanian majority in Kosovo has the right to self-determination, while at the same time claiming that the Turkish Cypriot community was not a minority on the island and therefore the Greek Cypriot community had no right to self-determination under British rule, even though the corresponding population ratios in the two territories are similar.

If someone from Kosovo comes to Cyprus, will people make a big deal out of it and tell them that no, it’s Serbia? The answer is no, the vast vast majority of Greek Cypriots no nothing about Kosovo, or Serbia for that matter, and don’t care.

Kosovo is another instance of the US betrayal of Christians, this time Serbs, to the benefit of Muslim Albanians. The same thing happened to Cyprus in 1974 where the US plotted against Cyprus to appease Muslim Turkey. For obvious reasons Cyprus will never recognise Kosovo as an independent state.
