Vlada Kharkova, uno schermitore ucraino, è diventato il nuovo campione di scherma mondiale dopo aver vinto l’oro a Tbilisi, in Georgia

Vlada defeated Katrina Lehis of Estonia, the 2020 Olympic bronze medalist and 2018 European champion, by a margin of 15-14 in the final of the championship.

She is the fifth Ukrainian world champion in fencing. Only Nataliia Konrad has won gold in the individual epee competition, which she did in 2003.
