In fairness to Reform (I can’t believe that was my opener) – they have made it crystal clear that despite all the evidence, they choose to simply never believe in any climate change _no matter what_.

They’ve made this really clear. So if the public decide they’re the people that they want running things, one COULD argue this is just the harsh biting edge of democracy. The public have voted in this utter shite – so that’s that, decision made 🙁

You have to be pretty stupid to be in support of this. Facts are facts but don’t let that get in the way of a good power trip

Why are these guys so anti business?

All green projects are now cheaper than their fossil fuel counterparts, so why are these guys so anti business?

This is the party that is leading the polls right now.

We get the politicians we deserve.

Is this not just typical Conservatism though? Make a big noise about X being a problem, wind up getting elected on a bunch of trumped up (heh) hysteria, and then deliberately engineer a situation where X (in this case funding for green initiatives being a waste of time) does become an actually kind of real problem in just the most absolutely fucking disgustingly cynical way possible, usually finding ways to use public funding for highly partisan or even corrupt purposes, and then often in full view of the entire media who just seem to basically decide to ignore or sanewash it all.

I’m just getting so sick of this same story playing out over and over year after year.
