This is some sort of NATO Radar plane if I’m not wrong.

E-3A Sentry. NATO-owned aircraft based in Geilenkirchen and registered in Luxembourg.
Funnily enough, I just took it in photo as I saw it 4 times already, and went immediately to this sub as I was sure I could find the information on why :’).
For all I know, these are NATO planes but I do not know for which occasion they are around this time, but I’m curious too :).

As they are registered in Luxembourg, they have to land here at least once a year (maybe more frequently, I am not sure) to keep the civilian registration active.
