Ciao! Abbiamo reagito in modo eccessivo?

It’s really bad, you’d better stay in Limassol or Paphos or event better go the other way to Larnaca or Agia Napa.
Its the biggest wildfire Cyprus has ever seen.
12 villages completely burned
The size of the fire is equal to 3 times of Limassol
Our Government? Gone
100 square meters? 1000000 square meters. 100 square kilometers. Learn to read jesus christ.
edit: square KILOMETERS. wrote it wrong, read it right.
What is bad is the government’s lack of preparation for these types of events.
We’ve had wilfires and arson every year, so this isn’t at all a surprise. Fire planes cost 1.2 million and we only have 6 of them and 250 firefighters.
It is complete negligence. In any other country, people would be rioting for the president’s resignation, but you can’t do that anymore here because the Parliament just passed a law banning demonstrations.
Welcome to the Banana Republic.
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Hell yes.
It’s really big. It hasn’t reached Troodos yet but many of the villages towards Limassol have been evacuated and many have burned.
