Brings back some memories. My dad was RN in WWII and served on the HMS Implacable and stopped in Australia. After the war he had job offers from friends in Australia and the US, flipped a coin, and here we are ( stuck in the US ).
Fast forward many years and my job took me to Darwin. Loved it.

Word of advice to the RN sailors,
Don’t go swimming in the ocean, near the Darwin harbour.
It’s filled with saltwater crocodiles and killer jellyfish ( we call them stingers).
It’s a beautiful ship 😍 I can see why we chose to kill 300,000 Brits to pay for it and for those nukes that don’t work.
