If housing wasn’t a commodity and we all had access to affordable housing then I think we’d all be like “fair enough. It’s nice that we have given them somewhere to stay”
BUT we live in a society where the basic right to shelter has been commodified to the point where housing is stupidly expensive and giving someone the basic right to a safe home is seen as a luxury.
