Note that, in this case, the developer _is the local council:_

      >Goram Homes, which is owned by Bristol City Council, is planning to build 166 flats, with 66 being “affordable”.

      >Goram Homes is a subsidiary of Bristol Holding Ltd, which is wholly owned by Bristol City Council.

If they cant manage it, they should be banned for any future contracts

    3. This is why “affordable housing” requirements are cons that make many development, especially in highest demand areas, unviable.

The government does not pay. The taxpayer does. Isn’t it about time that tax payers stopped funding private business. If the taxpayer funds housing it should be ‘social housing’; that is not sold off later for profit. Grrrrr. It boils my piss.

I’m starting to think we need to re-establish the Department of Works to do infrastructure projects and build social housing

Much like every financial project BCC are involved in, this is starting to stink the place out already. Never a surprise, given that the fish rots from the head.
