Some people is this country just dont seem to care anymore. Rubbish is everywhere.
First. Fly tipping is bad. There is no excuse to do it.
However…
It does not help that councils have increasingly made it harder and harder to do the right thing. Minimal bins, often overflowing because the council saves money by increasing time between collections. Public toilets are non-existant.
People should take their rubbish home, but we really should make it easier for people to do the right thing, instead of just tutting calling them terrible people.
This is what happens when people are mollycoddled by the nanny state. They’re so used to having their arses wiped for them everywhere they expect it to happen in the countryside too.
First step is we stop allowing people to leave festival sites in the state they do and maybe we can work up from there.
