Despite not supporting England, I watched it because ~~I am a masochist~~ my wife supports them.

I know its personal preference and I’m clearly in the minority here, but I’m surprised that the BBC coverage attracted so many more viewers than ITV. Is it just the absence of adverts and/or some natural UK Beeb bias? I thought the ITV coverage was miles better

Just don’t look at the “Meet the England players who secured Euro 2025 glory” article on the BBC sport website.
Someone seems to have decided that making their faces look like horrific action figures was a good idea. Hannah Hampton should take legal action.

Helps that there has been nothing else worth watching to that extent this year.

Seriously though, hopefully this finally proves that women’s football is worth watching and a bigger interest outside of international tournaments.

Hands down the most dramatic run at a tournament in my life.

The Sweden game was absolutely epic.

I was actually happy for Engalnd, and being Scottish that’s quite the thing. Seems my annoyance with England football is stuck on the men for some reason.

Oh look, BBC1 football, BBC2 Cricket, ITV football, Channel4 F1, such a choice for non-sports fans… well done ladies 🙂
