Molte grazie. Goditi il tuo bellissimo paese! 🇵🇹

That road was closed a few years ago, for nature preservation if I am not mistaken. You have a public parking near the red point where you can leave your car and then you can either walk to the beach or take the bus.
That road is closed during high season because people usually park their cars on both sides of the road blocking ambulances, firetrucks and buses to pass when combined with heavy traffic.
There’s also high risk of rockslide.

So a lot of people, high traffic, congested roads, risk of landslide and safety concerns I’d say.
i highly suggest you park your car in setubal and take a bus: [https://carrismetropolitana.pt/lines/4474?active_pattern_id=4474_2_2&active_waypoint_stop_id=161004&active_waypoint_stop_sequence=1](https://carrismetropolitana.pt/lines/4474?active_pattern_id=4474_2_2&active_waypoint_stop_id=161004&active_waypoint_stop_sequence=1)
That road is closed due to a severe risk of rock sliding. There is no estimation as to when it will be reopened.
You really have to go around through the top of the mountains, as the app suggests. It’s only a 30 minute drive. That is, if you don’t stop along the way to admire the view!
There is a big rock, in risk of falling.
