Listeriosis is hardcore. No taste different or smell on food with it in there. Even if you scrub it away, it can come back in the same place in the future. If it gets onto someone’s shoe and they walk around the factory, it can contaminate everything.
I worked in a dairy in the UK, and we tested our drains and boot wash stations every few months for listeriosis. Sometimes, we had to clean it 2 or 3 times with some heavy-duty chemicals before it wasn’t detected anymore.
Actually, I did not go into the office today and worked from home because I had some serious diarrhoea, no joke.
I spent more time on a toilet than at my desk. I bought some sandwiches and pork sausages a few days ago.
Really worried right now.
