    1. You sure about that many parts of the CMK line in Poland being operated at 200?

The EU should come up with a comprehensive plan to improve high speed rail in Eastern Europe. If you look at this map, it looks like the iron curtain is still on.

    3. In Croatia between Zagreb -Split there is 80% one way rail. So on some stations train waiting for train in other directions to pass then continue… and on some part max speed is 60km/h.

You can see yourself getting older and the world progressing outside the train. It’s like in time capsule 🚂

    4. There is no high speed rail from Tbilisi> Kars or Yerevan.

And there is a high speed rail from Poti to Zugdidi

Just yesterday protests happened in Poland because of Polish government is having an anti-railway agenda:

“On Monday, July 28, 2025, protests by railway workers affiliated with the Polish Railway Engineers’ Union (OPZZ), a member organization, took place in several locations across Poland. One of the protest locations was a roadblock at 39 Marywilska Street in Warsaw, in front of the PKP CARGO CONNECT headquarters.”

So much of infrastructure and yet flying 1000km is cheaper than 50km train ride.

My dream is a red/orange line from Malaga to Talinn or Odessa and from Stockholm to Athens or Catania.

Missing the Salerno – Reggio Calabria under construction stretch between Battipaglia and Romagnano, soon Romagnano – Praia a mare.

With the increase to 5% of GDP towards defence, with 1.5% being towards infrastructure, hopefully it will go towards improving rail networks, stations, and trains in Eastern Europe.

      Amsterdam-Paris all the same color.

But it takes 2 hours to get to Brussels and then Only one hour to get to Paris!

Just went from London to Paris. At a time we were going 310.

    13. There are certain…. irregularities with this map. At least in the Netherlands with Zwolle mentioned as a station with a 270-300km/h connection.

While.the infra might support this, reality shows there isn’t a railline doing this, not planned for the foreseeable future (there are some suggestions, but nothing realistic.)

I wonder if the map shows other lines when they aren’t used or present in real life.
