The Shabla lighthouse is cool as well but it’s further north.

Oh wow. Visited that place a couple of years ago, it’s amazing how it looks like it hasn’t changed. I might visit it by the end of this summer again tbh!
A place that’s close to Varna that hasn’t been suggested is the Aladzha Monastery. It’s like, an old Bulgarian monastery that’s inside of a cave. It also has a bunch of long forest paths around it that you can walk in, one lead to some catacombs if I remember correctly (but they were all closed off).
Also, the actual monastery was closed as well back when me and my family visited it. I believe it was due to maintenance or risk of falling rocks. Either one or the other. Check if it’s open nowadays because I’ve heard it’s pretty cool on the inside too!

Absolutely, without a doubt, visit Pobitite Kamani. It is the only true desert in Bulgaria and features some of the most wild geological formations in Europe. IIRC there is a guy who explains about the history of the place free of charge.

Yailata is one of my favorite places in Bulgaria: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/YEHXPMjr34CgdNrB7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/YEHXPMjr34CgdNrB7)
Cape Kaliakra is also worth seeing.
