Yaama (ciao) R/Svezia.

    Grazie!

That’s great, and the fact that you have Ernst’s birthdate and place makes it a whole lot easier to find the basic connections of his at the time.

While genealogy is quite easy in Sweden compared to a whole lot of other nations (partly due to the churches strenousouly writing everything down, and partly due to the modern-day digitalisation of all church records) it’s still something that takes quite a lot of time to look up.

I’m sure someone could give you some basic information about Ernst, and about his parents and such, but if you want to trace the other branches of his family (i.e. finding your second and third cousins, etc.) you’d have to spend that time on your own, or pay some profesisonal researcher for it. It’s not that it’s hard (most of the time from the 1800s and later), but it takes a lot of time.

Now that is a combination i never imagined happening 😃

Did they bring any Swedish traditions with them ?

As for more info on your ancestors, have you looked into church records ?
They often have a lot of information in them that could help you.
