Well, yes, but sign-ups just require supplying an email address, while Labour Party membership requires paying. We’ll have to see how many sign-ups turn into paying members.

Sure and when Signing up to a mailing list becomes the same as being a actual paid up member it’ll actually matter.

“Sign ups”
You mean giving an email address to receive further details?

This is signing up for an email newsletter. Not actual party members.

More people have a Tesco Clubcard than there are labour members, doesnt mean people would vote for them.

Signups to Your’s email list is greater than members of the Labour Party. But why should comrades get too bothered about accurate reporting or fair comparisons?

This is some of the most Corbyn and Anti-Starmer biased reporting I’ve ever seen.
They’re comparing people who have signed up for a newsletter to get free email updates…. to paid members.
It’s actually unbelievable how hard the media are trying to tear down the current Labour administation.

Run by a 76 yo that 6 years ago couldn’t work a full day without taking multiple naps, this party wont exist come the next election.

Remember when Chuka Umuna et al tried something similar? What’s the real difference here?

Yes, as every one here is saying, you can’t really compare the two figures. However, you also can’t just discount their 600,000 signups as just for a news letter or as fraudulent. There is clearly a large appetite for this party. Lets say they made the lowest membership option a few quid a month, i don’t see why a large amount of this 600,000 wouldn’t join. If half of those (currently) signed up became members, the party would be the largest in the UK.

All of the comments on this post just repeat exactly the same thing, “sign ups are just emails, call me when it’s paying members”.

This is extremely misleading. It’s apples and oranges. Having someone’s email address and having someone pay a membership fee to belong to your party is completely different level of commitment.

Its not a new party yet, its a mailing list that is intending ti become a party.

The Corbyn party is a Reform / Tory psyop, it’s the only way to make sense of a man that lost two elections trying to win another one.

people should be worried, after all that peak Labour membership translated to votes and is how we wound up with Prime Minister Corbyn isn’t it? Oh wait no, different timeline

Isn’t this a mailing list? Like **I** have 200 sign-ups on a mailing list, it’s not that hard to collect an email from someone.

I think he’s a very principled man and fights for what he believe in which is admirable, but i can’t forgive his stance on Brexit and his parties abject failure to to present any sort of opposition to it.
