Well, if I would live there, opening half an hour earlier would not bother me as much as opening until 11pm or later, the compromise of the SDCC to open until 9pm seems actually reasonable. But again, I do not live there…
I love how any time he does anything it’s taken out of context to generate headlines and outrage when FFG have been blocking the working Irish people from living a decent life for decades and the response is “well sinn féin are worse sure”
Article says its been an issue for a long while for noise pollution, which makes sense.
However, the reasons to object because people will be asleep at 730am in the morning is ridiculous.

This is a local issue, local councils should disregard submissions made by TDs on behalf of local residents.
I’m not saying that they may not have a valid concern about this.
But this is not the kind of thing we pay Paul Murphy a salary to look at. He does this because it gets him votes.
I know this sub hate Paul at the same rate they hate McGregor, so I was expecting a bullshit story as someone who thinks positively of him, but no, at a glance in google maps, the centre is not even remotely as close to housing as they make it seem.
No votes for him in problems being solved. He is a toxically negative individual. PBP lost their two best TDs in the last election when Gino Kelly and Mick Barry lost their seats. As a party they would have then been better off to lose all their seats and rebuild than to be stuck with Murphy and Boyd-Barrett.
You’re all missing the point. NCT contracted company got so far behind they now only issue certs that cover about 6 months in many venues.
All expiry dates should be zeros and certs issued for the 12 months from date of test, not date of expiry.
I’ve used that nct center, it’s in an industrial estate. People giving out about potential noise pollution won’t be able to tell the difference between a car driving down the greenhills road going to an NCT centre vs a car driving down to walkinstown at 10pm. Surely, public buses driving up and down the greenhills road make more noise than cars going in and out of the industrial estate.
