Ciao. All’epoca vivevo a Lipsia (2023). Grazie mille.

    „Normal“ is relative.

These numbers say nothing without knowing your usage and the energy source being used.

The “price per unit” isn’t something Techem decides. They just calculated it. That price is based on what your landlord paid for either water or heating. Then they look at what all tenants used in total and divide what the landlord paid by that number. And that way you get the price per unit.

As much as I despise Techem for several reasons but it’s not their fault if those numbers get higher. Usually it is either that the prices for gas went up or that people used different amounts than before. Your numbers don’t look that high to me so I guess your landlords contract with the provider got more expansive.

You could try to talk to your landlord about switching the provider for gas to get one that is cheaper. But most of the time they don’t care and possibly it won’t make much of difference depending on the kind of contract they have. According to the overall amount of units in your building I am guessing there are more than four parties involved and usually buildings this big have quite good rates already.

Another solution would be better insulation for the building. Good luck talking your landlord into that.

I doubt there is much you can do. Maybe check if the meters are working correctly? But I doubt you have much influence on that. Those Techem meters aren’t that bad.

My advice would be to adjust your heating a bit in the coming winter. Maybe get a blanket or a sweater and don’t heat as much… Not a nice solution but definitely cheaper.

113 Euro/month for 57 square meters looks quite normal to me due to the slightly higher water consumption than normal (55,300 liters instead of 44,000 for one person)

How many people are living in your apartment? I’m in a shared apartment of comparable size with one other person and we pay less than half of all that combined. I’m guessing you must be living in some ancient building tho, usually with central heating every apartment has its own meter, so you only pay your actual share rather than an estimate.
There’s almost definitely nothing you can do about it tho. That’s how you agreed to handle things with your landlord and you’re stuck with it.
