Era fuori per un viaggio oggi e mi sono fermato in un villaggio rurale casuale a Leinster, non riuscivo a credere che pago regolarmente € 6,30 a Cork Bai
Rural Ireland could be considered a time warp in certain places yes. You can still get a pint in certain parts of Donegal for less than a fiver too.

Yes I noticed this driving around the country for work. Some small village shops are great value at the deli compared to Dublin where I live. I remember getting a brown bread sandwich with bacon and white pudding for €2.50. I thought they made a mistake.

The rest came out of the poor deli assistants wages id imagine

Just goes to show that there is great value still out there and it pays to shop around.

What’s inside it?
I normally get a wrap, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and chicken for around €4.50-€5 in the local Super Valu in Dublin, can’t really complain all things considered.
The other day I just got cheese and tomatoes with chicken and it was like €3.75.
Centra seem to have a set price of €6 for the exact same thing round here, doesn’t matter if it’s a roll or a wrap, if you’re getting a 1 meat + 3 fillings, as they call it, it’s €6.
