Nel 2024 c’erano 5,87 milioni di auto elettriche solo a batteria nell’UE. Le azioni più alte delle auto elettriche in nuove auto registrate sono state trovate in Danimarca (51,3%), Malta (37,7%) e Svezia (34,9%). Al contrario, le azioni più basse registrate erano in Croazia (1,8%), Slovacchia (2,4%) e Polonia (3%).

Denmark has a massive tax break for EVs. Basically when you buy a new car, you pay 150% of the value as a registration fee (and 180% if you import it) if the car is worth more than 30k Euros. For EVs, this tax is reduced by 60%. They are rolling back the discount a bit but because the registration tax is so massive, this means you’d save more than 27k Euros on your car purchase, plus added benefits for charging.
