Reform yet again showing they haven’t got a clue what it means to repr went real people
Many Reform councillors seem to have run not at all understanding what their responsibilities were going to be. They probably dreamt of “stopping the boats”, not having to deal with residents angry about potholes and bin collections. Being a councillor is really dull unless you care passionately about local issues.
Oh look the party of we can save money through our copying of the failed Republican DOGE policy once again proving that they only waste money.
This sounds like a Gift of the Magi situation, and the wife simultaneously left the flower show because she wanted to support her husband’s role as councillor
Cousin Leslie was a terrible shame…but it seems she was set on moving away.

The horrible politics aside that’s pretty cute in a romantic way.
Some of these councillors really just wanted to be part of the “Reform movement” during elections, but had little regard for the actual graft of being a councillor.
Surely she can still take pride in her front garden and enter in the community spirit with out getting a certificate at the end of it.
I wonder if he wanted to get out of being a councillor and used her as an excuse.
Has he not heard of the concept of recusing oneself? Seems a bit over-dramatic, unless he simply wanted out.
