      Well, considering praying silently (saying prayers in your head only) is illegal in some places, this is not surprising. Basically, some thoughts are illegal in some places in UK.

      Terrible predicament for both parties.

      One, if she makes her life more public, she’s easily targeted by people who clearly want to do her harm.

      Two, if she self-exiles and chooses obscurity, what are we saying about democracy? That we’re not willing to defend it in the face of threats?

      I can see why the police felt this was the better option. It’s certainly the cheaper one but I think we should support people like her.

      I don’t want to do a whataboutism, but we’re wasting money on things like an ‘elite task force’ as part of the OSA to contain free speech. Maybe if we didn’t waste so much money, we could routinely make the right decision… instead of waiting for the media to elevate it.
