We’re second highest in the EU.

The place where my OH works, they are pushing hard to reduce the WFH, so people are leaving in their droves for other companies who are offering WFH as part of their contracts.
It’s effectively the way to get high earners out the door without having to pay them off
Hybrid here, supposed to be one day a week. Whenever I do go in the place is empty I’m just on remote calls to Bangalore or people scattered all over the country, I haven’t been in the office in 3 months,
My place currently have consultants in on an organisational restructure. We paid big money for new offices just before the pandemic. I’m fairly sure what conclusion the consultants are going to reach. I’ll be moving on if it does go that way. Save 3 hours of commuting a day by wfh and won’t go back.
If we had decent public transport it wouldn’t be so bad, but standing on a bus stuck in traffic from the outer suburbs in West Dublin or trying to jam onto the oversubscribed luas isn’t that. I’m in Copenhagen at the moment and it’s insane the difference vs home. 24/7 driverless metro that run every 5 mins, 20 mins from city centre to airport, quiet carriages on suburban rail, tickets on your phone etc.
Most people get more work done in the office.
It’s no surprise that BOI and AIB, dinosaurs of banking, are pushing a return to office when the likes of revolut are killing them with digital services.
Going into the office to do those zoom meetings at a desk instead
