“In 2024/25, the UK government is expected to spend approximately £313 billion on welfare and benefits, which represents about 24% of the government’s total annual expenditure (£1.28 trillion)”
Just cut all of that and we can finally have tax cuts and be a successful country again, just like Dubai.

Careful when you read this.
They’re not saying Rachel Reeves policies are even the problem. Their decision could be based on Trumps tariffs, or anything else.
The journos cleverly just writes ‘Confidence hits ‘record’ low AS Rachel Reeves policies play out’ in the same way he could have written ‘Confidence hit’s ‘record’ low as immigration hit’s new heights’ or ‘Confidence hits record low as Ozzy Osborne fans realise they’ll never get another Black Sabbath song’ – and it would also technically have been true.

Jesus Christ is Reeves okay? What was she slammed by? Was it a car accident or like a fall down the stairs into some sort of automated press? I’m not a big fan of their government or their policies but I hope she’s resting up and gets back to health quickly

I got laid off because of her increases to employers’ NI. Four months on and I’m still struggling to find work in finance. Another friend of mine got made redundant around the same time, while he was recovering from a broken hip, and he’s on the verge of eviction.
Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer need to go.

Any governent that promises mandatory defenestration of journalists who use “slammed” in a headline would get my vote.

Last week it was record high, this week it’s record low, next week it will be medium, week after it will be just right. Then after that it will be an exodus of confidence. Then after that it will be record investment.
On and on it goes, the confidences will go on forever, it will never be finally decided what the confidence is.

They’ve trashed their reputation with the city and all while achieving nothing for the working class. Really impressive in a way….

The Labour hasn’t changed since 1946. The only aberration from Labour manifesto was Tony Blair.
So what the people who erected them actually expected. Stalmer and his team don’t do anything unpredictable.

Labour: you want Change Uk? The little remember Labour offshoot from 2016 that wanted to have Tory policies?
