I visited Tirana once and was asking around for the tourist office. People looked at me very confused.

There was a restaurant in a circus tent called Kolonat which looked like a bootleg McDonald’s. But they didn’t really understand the fast food concept so we got tasty sandwiches with fresh olives and cheese instead of frozen processed food. Albanian food is really good, I’m especially fond of the cheese.
