Other than for terror purposes. Why hit strictly civilian targets like they’ve been doing since forever? It doesn’t diminish Ukraines fighting ability. Meanwhile Ukraine is striking airfields, factories crucial to the war effort etc. Just seems like a total waste of resources by the Russians. They’re just reinforcing what giant assholes they are.

I’ve made the assumption long ago that Russia’s strategy is to make civilian life so hard that they [the civilians] beg their government to surrender. Well it’s not been working for 3½ years. It just seems they’re digging themselves a deeper hole by wasting military resources hitting civilians. Oh well..
