      >Extreme right wing ideologies ‘can be broadly characterised as cultural nationalism, white nationalism’

Cultural nationalism is extreme? What? Also the UK was 99.9% white at the 1951 census, so to all intents and purposes, by definition, a ‘white nation’ at that time. Was everyone an extremist back then? Wow.

      > Last month, it was revealed how Prevent training documents listed sharing the view that Western culture was ‘under threat from mass migration and a lack of integration’ was a ‘terrorist ideology’.

      > Even the 1955 epic war film The Dam Busters and The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare were flagged as possible red flags of extremism

      > A damning public report warned in 2023 that Prevent had been experiencing a ‘loss of focus’ as it had become distracted by far right cases, rather than concentrating on Islamists.

      >In his long-awaited 188-page report, William Shawcross claimed too many resources were being focused on right-wing terrorism rather than its Islamist equivalent, which has been responsible for far more deadly attacks.

“127 adults in their 60s or beyond were put on Prevent’s radar in 2023/24 – the most since records began in 2016. ”

      **127?**

It may be a ‘record number’ but it’s still tiny.

Funny how israeli terrorists killing british people ai no longer relevant yet it’s british lives being lost, whereas palestine action standing against said brit murderers is made a terror group…

can we get an over 60 age verification that stops them reading GB news, Telegraph, facebook.

    8. Just to make sure, we do live in a democracy right? We can have our own political views, right?

My Son got it a bit of trouble at school – just a bit of teenage angst – but bad enough for a visit to talk to the social worker ! Was he being influenced by the right wing at ? So punching a wall and being rude to a teacher is enough to be considered a right wing terrorist now ?

No I said , most of him and his friends bad influences come from rap music and lyrics about mysogny, drugs, gangster culture and gun and knife crime – didn’t care about that !

You only need to read some of the comments from boomers under Daily Express posts to see how extreme and brainwashed they’ve become. It’s utterly vile.

      > Hey, guys, I don’t think we should allow undocumented people to be smuggled in by the thousands, and post them in accomodation at our expense.

      Is Prevent mandatory? Just curious?

Could these people simply say no?

I’m curious as to how effective it actually is.

Unsurprising. I mean for some reason Reddit decided to give me a post from the reformuk sub. I had a nosey and they are full mask off Nazis. I don’t mean this as hyperbole, I mean they support ethnic cleansing.

The Daily Heil? I don’t believe a word of it. I wouldn’t wipe my arse with the Heil.

My dad has a elderly friend who has been right wing for decades but recently he’s got much more intense with his language.

    16. Prevent is out of control with many many wrongful referrals for all sorts of things.

It’s hard to get your data off the system or things cleared if referrals do happen.

    17. Written by the Daily Mail to drive up engagement with their 60+ right wing reader base.
