Two teenagers are appearing in the youth court for sentence after they admitted torturing and killing two kittens in West London/Buckinghamshire. A kitten was found hanging from a tree, and the other on the ground, in a field near Ruislip Golf Club on May 3. A girl and boy, both now aged 17, admitted animal cruelty offences at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on May 20.
On Monday (August 4) they are at a sentencing hearing for causing unnecessary suffering to the protected animals by ‘mutilating and killing’ them, and for one count of possession of a knife. The kittens were found with ropes attached to them and had been cut open, with knives, blowtorches, and scissors nearby. Last time, Judge Michael Oliver told the defendants he had not ruled out any sentence.
This morning the court heard one black kitten hanging from a tree with a red rope around its neck, with its lower half ‘completely ripped open’ and eyes ‘bulging out’. There was also charred flesh, fur, fresh blood on the ground with a bloody knife.
When police seized the boy’s phone, they discovered a note saying: “I really wanted to murder someone and everyday I was researching how to get away with murder. I have come close. I have killed cats to reduce my urges. I have skinned, strangled, and stabbed cats.” Detectives also found searches for animal sacrifice to Satan and human beheading videos.
Members of the public who saw the teenage boy with an animal carrier and ‘became concerned’ when they later saw him and the girl running from the scene. After the kittens were found, police appealed for information and released CCTV images of suspects and an image of a black bag.
Both defendants are currently in local authority care, but may face custodial sentences.

Lot’s of psychopaths that kill humans start off by torturing or killing animals.
If killing a kitten reduced his ‘urges’ for killing humans, the effects would likely be transient, the urges would invetiably reappear, and the cycle of crime would continue.
Yeah think this kid needs locking away in a mental health facility for as long as possible for his own safety and that of others. Not sure prison would be the best place for someone like this

Then the defence says “There’s nothing he’s said to me that indicates he wants to murder somebody….. He has an interest in psychology”
I don’t know how people can keep a straight face in court sometimes.
I hope medical interventions are being prepared, and things put in place to make sure these people don’t leave prison without assurances they will not move on to humans, because this sounds like a serial killer in the making.

Why is it we always have to make it more important to prosecute when the idea of doing it to a human enters the conversation. Animal’s lives are just as important as human lives – no? A life is a life. Anyone that harms animals intentionally should carry the same sentence as to humans in my book.

When we talk about ‘starting off’ by killing animals- anyone who tortures or kills an animal is already a monster.
I know there are many who think that animal life is worth less than a human. But those kittens, and the other animals he tortured and killed, suffered immensely.
It would be more difficult for a teenage boy to kill a human. To gain access to them, to overpower them. This is why young sadists like this kill animals or younger children.
Killing a totally defenceless animal, a baby animal, is reprehensible. They would have suffered as much as a human would.

Sick fucks. This is like Jamie Bulger stuff but with cats. And now they will be a burden on the state and a cost to the taxpayer for the rest of their lives, no way they don’t try this again at some point in the future.
If what that boys supposedly wrote is true, he needs to be in a mental hospital for the rest of his life.
I worry the judges will say him choosing kittens instead shows whilst he’s broken he’s attempted to be better and with work he’ll be safe, but he wont be.
And when he actually snaps they’ll be a price paid by someone innocent, because eventually his urge won’t be fed from innocent animals.
Name and shame. That’s worse than any jail time. They look old enough to know mutiliating animals is wrong and they don’t deserve protection from the consequences. I want the public knowing who these two sadists are so the Don’t Fuck With Cats lot are aware of them.
Also if the boy is hearing voices telling him to kill people then he will do it again and maybe not to “unimportant” animals who’s agonizing deaths were worth a paltry 12 months next time.
I feel sick reading what they did to those cats. 12 months sentence is pathetic. If you’re old enough to do the crime, you’re old enough to serve a proper sentence for it.

I would wager that this kid will murder a human (probably a woman or child) before age 30.
That is a haunting line. Just think about how evil you have to be yo kill kittens, then think how evil you have to be by saying it was to stop you killing people. Those kids are going to need a lot of help, however I doubt they will be rehabilitated to the point they are safe to have in the community for long.
Seeing as we’re slowly slipping into an authoritarian country anyway, let’s bring back the death penalty for cut and dry cases like this. “You will be a threat for as long as you live so you don’t get to live anymore”. Job done. Plus he’d probably get his rocks off to it so win, win

Be interesting to see if they found anything like the messages on the girls devices.
