If it stops the Chinese company mills – and especially the thousands of companies that seem to randomly get registered to peoples actual real addresses, that’s a good thing.
Quite why you’d let someone start a limited company, or be a director there-of without checking their identity in the first place has alway been a mystery to me.

This is really just about directors and PSCs needing to verify who they are.. Not something that affects the average person but still a big shift for anyone involved in running a company.. Makes sense given all the efforts to clean up shell companies and dodgy filings..
