Stavo facendo un’escursione a est di Calmbach e mi sono imbattuto in un villaggio abbandonato nei boschi che era inquietante. Qualcuno conosce la storia del luogo? Non riesco a trovare alcun riferimento ad esso.

Alte Klinik Charlottenhöhe, used to be a hospital for lung health and tuberculosis, but fell into disrepair in the seventies.

That’s not a village, but a former “Volksheilstätte”, i.e. a sanatorium.
Basically a lost place now it actually has an owner but seems to get auctioned off every few years because obviously it would need a lot of money to renovate the whole thing.

Holy shit how random to See my home village Calmbach on here! We used to go to these old Buildings as Teenagers at night to… well to do what Teenagers do. So many Memories!
