Nearly half of the male population smoked in Bulgaria (49%), Latvia (48%) and Lithuania (43%).
Among women, the highest smoking rates were recorded in Greece (32%), Croatia (30%) and Romania (29%).
Surprised its even 8% here in Sweden. No one smokes
Snus.
In Sweden over 12% vape and around 16% use snus. Source: https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/the-public-health-agency-of-sweden/living-conditions-and-lifestyle/andtg/tobacco/use-of-tobacco-and-nicotine-products/
still 14% too many in Denmark. They smoke all kinds of places where it’s not permitted. And you cannot sit outside at a restaurant to enjoy the sun without being forced to smell cigarettes. And if you live in an apartment neighbours might smoke out the window or sit on their balcony smoking, practically making it impossible to have open windows without getting cigarette smell inside your own private living space.
Interesting. Bulgaria isn’t number one in lung cancer rate.
