I remember a week ago people were saying you’d get a better deal if you just didn’t negotiate with the US and used Switzerland as an example.

I think Switzerland lowkey deserves it. Country of freeloaders since forever and they’re proud of it.
I believe that beside luxury watches, Switzerland is also irreplaceable in domains of machine tools and pharmaceuticals, imposing such high tariffs would eventually be punishment and torture to US citizens and companies themselves
