Remember it well, and the mosaic on the wall, as one image was like my brother and his mates, long dark hair with a crombie coat. What was the initial death knell for the iLac?

Probably a bit younger than you as I don’t remember the rocks but spent so much time in the Ilac as a kid. My great Aunt always brought me upstairs to the restaurant at the Moore St end, horrible rubber burgers 😅
Anyone remember the Pound Coin glued to the tiles outside on with the sport shops? 😂
Am I right but didn’t that balloon used to go up and down ? …….. I used to think the lifts (stopped near the library upstairs) looked like rockets too 🤷♂️. I’ve not been in the ilac centre for about 30+ years (maybe even 35).
The lifts were shaped like Rockets!
