Una clip ampiamente condivisa afferma di mostrare immigrati “Terzo mondo” a Dublino arrostire un cane. In realtà, è un maiale cucinato in un evento della comunità per nutrire i senzatetto, i rifugiati e i locali.
Questo esatto filmato è stato utilizzato in modo improprio prima che i controllori dei fatti confermassero che la carne era carne di maiale, non cane. L’evento è stato persino pubblicato pubblicamente dall’organizzatore, uno chef, nel 2023.

The problem is that these fact checks are never ready by the people who need to read them.
The idiots who saw this on social media and were told it was a dog just took it as gospel; they won’t be looking for anything that debunks this belief.
I find most things on Facebook to be utter hogwash..

I remember when a Chinese restaurant in my village closed down. Everyone said it was because they found dog meat in the takeaways. Apparently that was easier to believe than the recession slowing down orders and needing to close due to financial stress. People will believe whatever they want to feed their own racism.
Regardless, this looks like a scene from the 3rd world.
Weirdos for getting hung up on what species it is anyway.
For some reason most people are absolutely fine with the idea of eating abused pigs on a daily basis, but look down on others who eat dogs.
It’s the same fucking thing.
