I don’t think anyones done more to promote anti-migrant protests than the actions of successive governments causing everyday local people to join them; but ‘its the far right’ my government tells me.

More like the media gets “summer of anger” stories ready to try to stoke violence at these gatherings.

      > There are particular concerns around a planned protest on Saturday at council offices in Nuneaton, where Warwickshire police have dismissed claims by a Reform UK council leader that the force held back information over the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.

      > While local people have been involved in demonstrations that have taken place in recent weeks at many of the locations, a disparate range of far-right groups and influencers are heavily involved in promoting the protests, including supporters of the activist known as Tommy Robinson.

This follows the same pattern as last year. Find a trigger event, disseminate false information about it, get your useful idiot politicians to amplify, use social media to get people out on the street, where they get swept up with far-right violence, and then sit back as the UK has another spasm of disorder and counter-disorder, arrests and recrimination.

Free press, free speech and democracy are our greatest treasures but also the easiest thing for foreign powers to manipulate. Our best hope is shitty British weather – the heatwave last year was when all the rioting occurred iirc.

I no longer think its just the far right that have problem with immigration. Advertising it as such is doing nothing to bridge the gap between peoples reality and the online hype.

They don’t want to protest. The far right want a riot and pogrom

Meanwhile, the employers of our labour currently implementing AI to eradicate far more jobs, and not a word of complaint is said, maybe its them that are orchestrating these riots.

To be fair – I don’t think these things or feelings are restricted to the far right anymore.

As someone else posted in here, no one’s done more to promote these feelings than our current and successive governments and their inability to manage the problem properly.

I’d be happy to come out and meet these people in counter protests if it gets to that. They’re an embarrassment to the country.

Newspapers will be happy then, they’ve been trying to stoke this up for months.

Its quite scary to think we now live in a society where this level of national-scale unrest is deliberately provoked and fomented by figures in the media purely because it creates drama that helps them sell papers.

40% of the Liverpool Farage rioters were known to be domestic abusers and the figure rises for 50% for the Farage thugs in Northern Ireland. That’s the %age known. There will be others not reported. Violent people will latch on to any excuse to be violent.
