The French don’t give a damn about those tariffs and will sort this out, it’s the terrible unrestrained fire storm in the south that worries me, hope they can put it out soon.
It is difficult to see how France will fund increased defence expenditure. The numbers do not seem to add up.
China + Oil. Remove those two and the deficits no longer seem that eye-xatering compared to the rest of the world and the size of France’s economy.
If there is one potential silver lining from last shitshow between his orangeness and Von Der Bundeswehr, it’s that a momentarily truce with Trump would allow Europe to band together against China – which is the vast elephant in the room, trying to export to the rest of the world the result of its disastrous macroeconomic policies.
Then I remeber that with that fucking GroKo the next item on the menu will be to ploy and do the belly dance in China so that Audi and VW can send for a few months more cars before they get wiped out from the market for good.
Greed and mercantilsm could very well be the deathknell of the european project.
