There are many different brands, but I haven’t yet found one that advertises the different probiotic cultures available. I used to drink Kefir first thing in the morning back home, and it really did help with my digestive system, I miss it and would like to get back in the habit here. Danke!

This probiotic nonsense as an advertisement reason was forbidden a while ago because there is no proven effect at all. Just take any brand

      Short answer: None.

If kefir is sold in supermarkets and stuff, it will most likely be pasteurized to expand and stabilize its shelf life – and to avoid the jars to explode as kefir. Kefir in supermarkets will all be killed off. Different from yoghurt, kefir developes quite a bit of CO2 over time that will build up pressure.

If you want to have live kefir, you have to make it yourself. Get some kefir grains online (fairement is a reputable seller) and make your kefir yourself at home. It is relatively easy and straight forward.
