      I’m not sure how the part has any value in stealing if it needs a expensive calibration after installation and can be disabled if stolen.

      Potentially a cheap solution would be for the car manufactures to sell the part at cost or subsidise the part so it is sold at below cost.

      With the advent of technology, at least my green tipped dust caps don’t get nicked any more.

      It’s only a £1500 sensor if someone will buy one from a dodgy bloke behind the pub. Who’s doing that?
