The racists and anti everything gang will never truly understand the real legacy of Drew Harris and what he’s done to the Garda in this country. Since he’s taken over he’s shaken the core to the ground. He’s made it quite clear the days of Garda corruption from a minority of the force isn’t acceptable in modern society. He’s brought the force from a backwards attitude of turning a blind eye, lazy policing to proactive thinking.
Yes he’s had his faults and his failures and the government didn’t help, but he’s made it quite clear to serving members that they can and will be charged and sentenced like ordinary members of the public for crimes.

I wouldn’t have hired Harris because of his RUC past, but the problem with AGS, leading to the fall of two successive Justice Ministers in Alan Shatter and Frances Fitzgerald with regard to corruption of Commissioners Callinane and O’ Sullivan respectively, was a major attitude problem within the force from the top down.

Recently, a [report](https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2025/0731/1526401-garda-crowe-report/) has come out indicating that numerous members of road policing unit are actively hostile towards carrying out their duties. This is further evidence of a serious attitude problem within AGS – road deaths are on the rise and these cunts can’t be bothered to do their relatively straightforward roles.

Some of the GRA’s [responses](https://www.irishtimes.com/crime-law/2025/04/28/outgoing-garda-commissioners-legacy-one-of-mistrust-and-fear-says-gra-head/) towards Harris have been nothing short of laughably vague in relation to his attempts to implement change. For example:

      >Mr Slevin also pointed to Mr Harris’s “severe discipline and suspension policy” which he alleged has hampered garda members’ confidence in their ability to use force.

What does that even mean? Do they expect to be allowed to use force whenever they feel like it without consequences or investigation?

We’ve seen utter nonsense trotted out by this crowd, including a Garda being [suspended](https://www.rte.ie/1436827/)for taking a bicycle from the evidence room for a local man during Covid and expecting sympathy for it. Does that mean that I should be allowed to rob stationary supplies from my job because my wife wants a stapler? Actual fucking nonsense.

All the while, the same organisation continues to resist drug testing for AGS members when they have access and opportunity, and we already know that some gardai have no issue taking things from the evidence room as shown above and [elsewhere](www.rte.ie/1494897/), along with today’s story. [Here’s](https://www.radiokerry.ie/news/state-to-explain-delay-in-case-against-suspended-tralee-garda-accused-of-drug-possession-417349) more of it…..the state dragging the hole out of the process to charge this guy who eventually pleaded guilty and resigned. We were paying a suspended, drug dealing garda for four years, essentially, and he was just allowed to retire with a €500 contribution to The Grove addiction centre.

Not only that….. the cunts resisted any and all changes to drugs legislation during the Citizens Assembly. The hypocrisy is off the charts. [Here’s](https://www.thejournal.ie/citizens-assembly-drugs-2-6158752-Sep2023/) the new Commissioner on the matter…. so obviously, we can expect oodles of change when this gobshite is swept in.

There are serious problems in this force, as there has been for decades, and in fairness to Harris, his RUC background notwithstanding, he’s actually tried to address this bullshit and for that, I say fair play to the man.

People in Ireland are very naive when it comes to full, unbridled support of AGS because they’ve shown time and time again that this support can be abused very easily.
