By “territory”, he probably means the small bits of Sumy and Kharkiv which Russia doesn’t even want long-term in exchange for all of Donetsk and freezing the frontline in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

His words mean nothing, Today he also said Ukraine lost most of its ocean territory to Russia, he called the Black Sea an ocean, he has no idea what he is doing and he is just going to meet Putin to get attention, just like when he met North Korea leader a few years ago and achieved nothing

Great, this means Trump will negotiate hard and give Putin back all of Eastern Europe.
He’s gonna try.
The quality of energy of this guy is a Bose-Einstein condensate.
Its all a bit performative for him, he likes a crowd and press attention so he will be happy at a “summit”. He will get no traction with his “good friend Vova” and will end up trying to pressure Zelenskyy to give up all the occupied land. When he is told to fuck off he will be in the huff and blame Ukraine.
He has lost most of his traction with Ukraine as he is only supplying weapons that Europe has bought so he will be left sulking and trying to spin it as a great success.
In the end the entire thing will fall apart and he will live up to his TACO nick name once again.
Here’s how its likely going to go:
Trump: “You need to give back some land, Vlad. And stop the killing!”
Putin: “No.”
Trump: “Well I tried. Looks like you’re on your own Zelensky!”

Trump is following the Kremlin script. Make an about face with Ukraine (which he did), then tell Ukraine they need to cede their territory to russia for “peace” and if they don’t comply, blame everything on Zelensky and stop all US weapons going to Ukraine while lifting US sanctions on russia.
He’ll say something to the effect that he got the best deal possible but Zelensky declined the deal so the hell with Ukraine.
Trump is just sowing the seeds of the next WW.

I dont ever recall Ukraine requesting the US to negotiate on their behalf. I recall them asking for military equipment with offers to purchase. Maybe it not a Russia/Ukraine war at all but a Russia/America war using Ukraine as a proxy.
