Canada is probably joining the EU soon and Australia is in the Eurovision.

      So it’s all Europe baby.

    2. AdDry7344 on

Kinda surprised it’s that high in some of those countries here in Europe.

In the Netherlands the far right keeps pushing this narrative that the country is being taken over by Islam and the population is being replaced and that we are close to a point of no return (for about 20 years now). I guess either it’s a complete lie or we should welcome these people because they seem to be really accepting of homosexuals seeing the Dutch are on nr 2.

Then again, I was there in Italy in 93, no way 58% of the population back then would have declared that homosexuality can never be justified.

Sadly homophobia is on the rise again lately in the Netherlands. But mostly among a certain population.

Japan, Czechia and Italy the least homophobic countries without legallized same-sex marriage.

And yet they pretend as if they getting killed and hunted here lol

Looking at the epic progress Japan has made, but still has a way to go if gay marriage is not yet legalised there.

Come on, actually the top 8. Canada is more European than some European countries (yes, I’m looking at you Belarus), they just have the misfortune of being geographically wrongly positioned.

hmm, interesting, i have a whole different view for many of those, but ko

Might be more, clearly not all countries are in this list.

      Quo vadis, Spain?
It’s been 20 years since same-sex marriage was legalized — the third country in the world to take that step — and now we’re not even in the top 10??

Kind of surprised about China? I knew gay people are not really visible – or expected to be visible – around there, but didn’t think the public view of gays was so negative. Especially since it’s such a non-religious country and you have big lgbt-friendly cities like Chengdu.

I live in South Korea and can unfortunately confirm. And young men in their 20s are actually less supportive than men in their 50s…

Shoutout to sweden and norway for going from 50% to 10%. Denmark was always a bit gay so that progress isn’t as impressive.

Japan: “We love our yuri and yaoi now.”

Austria: “I guess these gays aren’t so bad.”

      Nigeria: “Why are you gae?”

You forgot Ireland which was the first country in the world where the general population voted for mixed marriages

    18. undeadarmyleader on

Lithuania 69! Only recently LT got the same sex marriage approvals.

    19. It’s just depressing as fuck that every single country in the world still has homophobia.

There are still people in every single country who blindly hate us for no fucking reason.

Flip the chart and it now shows the countries with the most fragile men.

    21. Kit_3000 on

Too bad that minority has compensated by becoming twice as loud.

    22. bigfootspancreas on

Jamaica would have broken the scale so they left it out.

    23. Brave_Confidence_278 on

I have no doubts that they are but, that chart does not list all countries so how do you know?

    24. I perceive that graph as amazing tbh. Look at the huge global perception change in just 30 years. I only wish the trend does not reverse…

    25. johannes-schnee on

15% of people in Germany saying homosexuality can never or rarely be justified?! What the fuck? That number should be zero everywhere. Everything else is not justifiable.

    26. Adam_Checkers on

im to stupid to understand this graph… how is it supposed to work?

    27. tomatoe_cookie on

Canada, with all their virtue signaling and extreme left policies are still more homophonic than 5 European countries.

    28. KleinValley on

It surprises me a lot that China is apparently more homophobic than Russia these days.
