La mia bici è stata rubata il 15 luglio 2025 vicino a Gaffelseglet 11, Vega. Alla polizia non importa. Questa bici significa molto per me, poiché apparteneva al mio defunto fratello. Ha un enorme valore sentimentale per me e mi sento terribile.
Sto offrendo un generosa ricompensa in contanti Per chiunque nelle vicinanze che possa aiutarmi a ottenere filmati per telecamere di sicurezza o altre prove. Credo che ci siano telecamere nella zona.
Non conosco nessuno in Svezia, niente famiglia, nessun amico che chieda aiuto, e temo che alcuni locali potrebbero non essere disposti ad aiutare se provo a gestirlo da solo perché sembro straniero, ma spero che la comunità Reddit sia diversa. Se puoi aiutare, significherebbe il mondo per me e ti ricompenserò per il tuo tempo.

However: It’s one of the more expensive bikes so it’s probably stripped for parts or out of the country already.
Probably on its way to eastern Europe already, many of these thefts are highly organised.
Really hope you get it back. I’m not from the area but I would suggest checking if there’s a Facebook page where locals share information about various things. They’re quite common and might be your best bet at getting people in the area aware of your situation so they can keep an eye out.

They usually get shipped abroad if it’s professionals. If it’s kids they usually dump them in the woods or burn them if used in a more serious crime.

Is this close to a port? Then you might want to check with their customs?
“The police doesn’t care” because they cannot simply materialize it in front of you at your request. They *do* care, and if its reported/see to them, etc., they will be able to recognize you as the owner. Check with locals, people don’t care if you look “foreign”.

For context, I was touring across the EU with my bike when I had to leave it in Sweden and catch a flight for something urgent. It had been parked for a week, so I hired Assistancekåren to move it to a spot where it wouldn’t get fined. They parked it at Gaffelseglet 11, Vega and send a proof. The same night they parked it, it was stolen. So dealing with this from abroad has been really difficult. The airbnb host has been the point of contact so far with me.
Looking around i the area on google maps i cant see any obvious surveillance cameras. Do you know if the swedish police have tagged the vehicle as stolen?
