      What is even the legal basis for a British police force to ask for social media details from people that are not under investigation for any crime?

      This shouldn’t be pinned down on the secret service (no jurisdiction here after all) but the British police that collaborated with them and any British politicians that authorised this.

      I hope we get more details of this because it’s rather shocking.
