If we can’t do a London to Manchester return for less than £380, I’m not sure I’m ready for the 30 year mortgage necessary for one of these tickets. How about we focus on getting the train lines we have working normally?

Normally I would be exited about better travel connections with Europe but how has our county got the money for this. Surely there are better things to spend the money on.

They couldn’t complete HS2 properly but a rail link to Germany is suddenly possible.

I geniunely don’t get what people are mad about here.
The infrastructure i.e. the chunnel already exists, this will surely be primarily work outside the UK, creating new routes connecting to Brussels?
