      Sounds justified, nobody should fear for there lives due to their orientation

      Ridiculous what’s the point in the country processing applications if they can just be overturned. This fake alyssum seeking racket is getting out of hand

      Nigeria must have the highest percentage of gay people per capita in the world

    4. He rocked up in Italy originally and heard that we were a much softer touch, so he decided to come here instead for our endless benefits.

      Openly admitting he has breached the Dublin Regulation. Either leave him in Nigeria or send him back to fucking Italy which is where he should be processed according to EU law. This man is not our responsibility.

      Why are we engaged in this nonsense. Funnily enough, the barrister argues its difficult for him to get back here in time because there are no direct flights. Hint hint! Does the barrister realise they are openly showing that the Dublin regulation is being breached consistently by these ‘asylum seekers’ who go shopping around Europe for the best benefits?

      Absolute farce of a system. So every single male in the third world can come and claim they are gay.

      We as a nation can be all for helping people out that genuinely need it, we don’t need to be soft as fuck doing it

    8. “ IPAT accepted a police document saying he was wanted by the Nigerian authorities as new evidence and set aside the decision”

      For those who don’t read articles.

      How does one appeal against a decision like that?  What organisation supports his the appeal?

      Couple of observations;

      1. why the hell would they bring him back to Ireland to let him re-apply after already going to huge expense to deport him? So you would then have to charter a second flight if and when his application fails again? 🤦

      2. Europe cannot feasibly accommodate every gay person in a country where it is illegal – that would be 64 countries. What evidence did this lad give of persecution aside from it just being illegal and having to hide it.

      Why can’t he stay in Nigeria while he appeals? Shit like this is fuelling the anti immigrant sentiment and the far right.

      That’s a joke, what are we supposed to do, take in every gay in the village.

      This is a precedent that is going to be exploited by every NGO. I wish I could get endless support to fight my legal battles.
