Lmao. Except they reduced the 20k soldiers to “special tasks” or smth. Toothless!

He will do whatever trump tells him to do. Just like everything else

It doesn’t matter if we stand with Ukraine or not. The Yanks and Russians are the only ones who have a real say in this now. Europe should never have gotten this weak. We should be demanding a seat at the table and dictating terms, not praying the orange convict finally develops a moral compass.

The best way to curtail the conflict is acknowledging China’s culpability in Putin’s war.

They are every bit as guilty as Iran and North Korea.

    6. MonitorPowerful5461 on

There have been plenty of actions, throughout the war, backing up these words. I don’t get the mockery in this case.

I am scared of Meloni’s chamaleontism. Don’t disappoint the Americans, don’t disappoint the Europeans, don’t disappoint the national allies and don’t disappoint the electorate. She will disappoint all.

I’m confused did everyone miss all the military and financial support the Brits have been sending. Not only that pushing the envelope on what can be sent as others weren’t to sure.

Vlod just needs to start a Labour friends of Ukraine PAC, send in the pound notes preferably to Lammy or Copper and they’ll even throw in the RAF and Lockheed Martin.

Nope. They won’t. Talk is cheap and so is modern day Europe.

Words are aspirational, but actions are constrained by the democratic crisis and declining trust in institutions.

Hmm and wow, lot’s of dicking on the UK’s support for Ukraine in this thread,

      >“We can’t actually help but here’s a hug”.

      >We will work tirelessly to disappoint you!

      >We tried action, for about a week.

I’d recommend people have a quick read of this fact sheet first… [https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-support-to-ukraine-factsheet/uk-support-to-ukraine-factsheet](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-support-to-ukraine-factsheet/uk-support-to-ukraine-factsheet)

Also, B Johnson was the first foreign leader to [visit ](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61052643)Ukraine after the war started, UK was [first](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64274755) to deliver MBTs to Ukraine, paving the way for others, and UK’s been helping train Ukrainian soldiers [since 2015](https://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/SN07135/SN07135.pdf).

Very unusual to see European politicians staging vacuous photo ops

    14. grafknives on

Unfortunately there is very, very limited support for sending solders to Ukraine among Europe citizens.

And because European countries are still liberal democracies with freedom of speech – making such unpopular decisions will open a road to empowering radical right wing, “Pro peace” parties (read it as Russian proxies).

This is a shitty balancing act.

    15. RemnantOfSpotOn on

Enough with the hugs do something meaningful. Whatever is done currently doesn’t seem enough to make difference and push them back

      Support for eternal war
Is unwavering. Like WWI, just a grinding butchering. Stamped human bacon !!

      Stopping WWI came too late.

      Ukraine must be stopped NOW.

Yet over a genocide the only “actions” this spineless little dictator performs is the writing of not even strongly worded letters..

    18. WifeLeaverr on

Meanwhile your support for dictatorship in Turkey presumes

    19. lotusSRB on

Does anyone actually believe that they care how many Ukrainians will die?

    20. Able_Signature_4942 on

How about we start by transfering all the money going for Israel to Ukraine? All the weapons, the billions of dollars and the silent actions done under closed doors.

    21. rokossovsky47 on

But we won’t send troops or even enforce a no fly zone

    22. Skullrogue on

Even under the idiot Boris Johnson did the UK support Ukraine. The UK has made many mistakes in the past decade, but their support for Ukraine has been unceasing and impressive.

Europe: always win on news, but always get sent to the child’s table

    24. thehappyleper213 on

They don’t wanna help Ukraine, they wanna drain them of their resources.

    25. Belicous on

Why are we pretending the UK hasn’t led huge support for Ukraine?

    26. Current-Routine2497 on

There will never be meaningful actions as long as every european country doesn’t treat Trump for what he truly is and keeps kissing his a$$.

    27. GuyLookingForPorn on

The UK has been both one of the first and most significant supporters of Ukraine, Zelensky isn’t exactly hugging him to smell his cologne.

    28. owlexe23 on

They couldn’t care less for the Ukrainian people, these posts just shows how performative this is and insincere.
