    2. My town heard and felt it on the sussex/surrey border. I even felt some of the shockwave

I was working on top of an offshore windfarm substation some years ago when a fighter jet went supersonic directly overhead.

It was loud enough to cause my cat like reflexes to kick in and make me adopt a graceful defensive posture*

      *I fell over

Kind of Sonic Boom related; I was watching one of those YouTube videos about different scary things caught on camera yesterday and one was of scuba divers that heard a “sonic” boom (obviously under water so not technically a proper sonic boom) and it said how lucky they were that it wasn’t particularly powerful otherwise it could have rupture lungs, cause brain damage and severely damaged other internal organs because of the severe water pressure.

Dunno why it surprised me as much as it did.

Saw one of these at an air show a few weeks ago and it was deafening and all it was doing is a display at regular speed, absolutely amazing machines

Heard it in Hertfordshire, thought it was weird so looked it up on flight radar and saw two over Potters Bar before flying out to intercept something.

    8. I live just outside of Ely and was pretty convinced the truck driving outside had had two spectacular blowouts. It literally shook my house.
