i disagree, an email could never have the same ridiculousness of trump claping between 4 F22 while waiting for his sugar daddy

All those people that went to bumfuck nowhere Alaska, all the media, to report on nothing. Such a waste.

I found that very interesting hearing Putin talk about how close Russia is to the USA. It sounded almost like a threat and a reminder that Russia is not only an European problem.

No way an email written by Trump is getting through any spam filter…….

“We still ok Vlad with those recordings you have of me? You’re still going to keep quiet right”

      “Sure Sure”

“Great – let’s talk business. Where are we going to build those golf courses, hotels and resorts?”

      End of that day:

“By the way, what are we going to say about that war thing going on?”

    6. ‘All’ such things could be, from Climate Summits to whatnot. Its so often an excuse for expensive fine dining and exotic location breaks, while the rest of us are encouraged to cut down on our travel footprint and communicate in other ways.

Trump ~ “Wanna make a deal?”

      Vlad ~ “Nyet”

They have the skills in their country. Should have asked the creators of South Park to animate the meeting instead.

“please consider the environment before printing this summit”

Not like I had crazy expectations for this event but I thought they would come up with SOMETHING.

It showed clearly that Trump and Putin are together… The US government would never do such an embarrassing and stupid move, unless they’re partners…

Unpopular opinion: This meeting was not about striking a deal (and neither will the next meeting be). IRL meetings beat emails when it comes to building trust (I know from experience). Unlike Europe, the orange turd at least understands that in order to get closer to a deal and peace, trust must be rebuilt. There can be no talks otherwise.

That said, most experts appear to agree on one thing: Russia’s demands stand, as do Ukraine’s and Europe’s demands. Since they are so far apart, the conflict will be settled in the battlefield. This is the “Putin does not want peace” that people keep saying.

E.g. see John Mearsheimer and Matt Duss disagree on several things, but agree on Russia’s determination to reach their objectives no matter what: https://youtu.be/VyWTNuXCcmk

    12. He gave a the war criminal Putin a platform and a way out of political isolation and got nothing of value in return. Even when I don’t expect anything from the incompetent American leader, he still manages to disappoint.

It’s crazy, with this meeting I almost forgot about the Epstein files. Release them.

The immediate take seems to have been absolute humiliation for the United States, it’s not even clear what the point of this all was beyond Russian humiliation of the United States.

My favourite part being the presentation of military hardware that cannot in any way resist the onslaught of Russian propaganda.

that summit could’ve been a great mass shooting event but we’re not as lucky.

It didn’t need to happen at all. It was just two dictators showing power.

How much did the unnecessary B2/F-35 flyover cost, I wonder… on-top of security, lodging, and transport- and can someone convert that number into ‘rounds-of-golf’?
