33 isn’t bad. If you’re an able bodied adult, working full-time even at minimum wage gets you out of poverty.
33 hours of work at minimum wage is not feeding, clothing and housing you in this country.
What does the “receiving benefits” part mean? What benefits are you entitled to if you work 33hrs also?
US minimum wage isn’t real because nobody earns it.

I work legit double that, can’t afford a half decent place to rent alone.
These are some of those intentionally misleading ‘statistics’ or just flat out made up in some cases.
The US for example doesn’t have a federal minimum wage, its a state by state thing so no idea what they would have used as the ‘minimum wage’ here.
Most state’s minimum wages for service industry jobs are also very low because the majority of an employee’s income will come from tips. Tips are obviously not being accounted for here.
Its just intentionally skewing the stats. Dumb graph.
No way is isnotreal that much. Their whole lifestyle is funded by the American taxpayer including a free house their government stole from indigenous people.
Fine print says this is on minimum wage.
Only 5% of the workforce are at minimum wage, many of those will be younger people studying or not the primary breadwinner in their household.
Remind me again why the US was ever attractive to move to. Their are so many graphs were they are much further behind then were they supposed to be on the stuff that indicates life is better there.

I live in the uk, I work 40 hours minimum. I just don’t agree with this at all.
Mind I’m not entitled to a single benefit at all but I’m always struggling financially. Just as soon as I get afloat bills all go up.
