So they made reselling tickets for more than face value a no no but now gouging punters at point of sale is a thing with demand pricing. That shit needs to die, as I said before at least the touts were upfront about what they were and what they were doing, not that it made it ok of course.

Bottom line, is that there are enough idiots out there willing to pay crazy prices and Ticketmaster are tapping that market.

No one buys albums anymore, streaming makes an absolute pittance. Tickets/merch are pretty much the only way artists can make money these days (although 500 for a ticket is insane)

The whole music industry works like this now. Recorded music is pretty much free and live music has skyrocketed.

    5. Slane looks expensive for 2009 though. Never been but I wonder was 2008 and 2010 similar prices for Slane?

I paid €180 for on Oasis ticket, which is by far the most I’ve ever paid for a single concert, but considering others paid over €500 I feel like I got a deal.

I was at that Pairc Ui Chaoimh gig, The Prodigy were the support act (and a cover band called The Bootleg Beatles lol). Great day

    8. Oldies/greatest hits tours have always been stupidly expensive… You just didn’t know about it when you and the bands you watched were young.
